Dream Logic: Art Exhibition Pictures 3/09
The best part of the night was hanging out with friends, munching on food and sipping (more than a few) drinks.
But also when Richard Fishman, my teacher & mentor and friend looked around the room, and said: “You’re ready for a show. I mean this is a show, but you’re ready for a show.”
Wow! A real show not a student show. It’s been a long time coming… and the best part about it was I really respect Richard’s opinion. He really knows his stuff and doesn’t say things he doesn’t mean.
There’s some people who when they tell you things is means a lot more, because they don’t give compliments lightly and only do when you’ve really earned it.

Dream Logic: an Art Exhibition
My senior art show will be on Wednesday, March 18, 8-12 in the evening.
Music by David Harrington & Friends!!
And booze!
The show will be at List Art Center, (64 College Street) 1st floor. That’s Providence.
It’s the Day after St. Patricks day, and everyone knows the best way to get over a hangover is to start drinking again.
So take a break from homework and have, err, a glass of wine at my show!
The show is up March 16th-19th.

Hillel Gallery Project Show — "In Your Face"
One of my pieces was recently displayed at the Hillel Gallery Project annual juried show.
It was curated by Brown and RISD (Rhode Island School of Design) professors Wendy Edwards and Linda Sormin.
I took this photograph of Colette in the red room installation that I made in the Brown University class “Hybrid Art.”
I made the installation with Jenny Filipetti. It was based on the associations evoked by the rich scarlet color of the room: violence, passion, sex, blood, love, hate…
We brought in a fallen tree from a recent storm and took a drill and screws to it, thinking of the figure sculptures some African tribes had in their villages, into which nails were hammered for various mystical purposes.
I’ve done a series of photo shoots in the installation since then and will be posting more images and video soon.

"Unpack This!"
Ann Kidder’s “Unpack This!” art show was a wild success! Metropolis played great music, I’m currently working on my second collaboration with David Harrington, who is in Metropolis.
“Abstract Surrealism,” and “First Lake” were in the show.
