dream logic, noun

Dream logic is a structure by which all tools of creativity and thought can be used consciously or otherwise to create art.

Dream logic is not about truth value, but rather using all tools of human creativity to make new realities.

My interests have always been off-beat, the fringes of psychology, the mind in general, the occult, dreamscapes, the edges of the mind and imagination. The liminal spaces between states of consciousness.

Dream logic is the art of Jay Gidwitz.

Upcoming Show: September, 2010
Newark Academy
Newark, New Jersey

Welcome

Hi! This site is a portfolio of the evolving work of Jay Gidwitz (that's me). Besides featuring the latest updates on my work, it's also a super top-secret stream of the coolest, wackiest, or just plain strangest stuff I find on the web. Help yourself to the RSS updates, either into your favorite feed reader or straight into the inbox. It's like drinking straight from pop-surrealism's patent-pending fire hose.

About

About Jay GidwitzI'm an artist currently living in Providence.

My interests are emerging technologies, art, and communications. I began photography seriously in 2005 after receiving a classical training in drawing and painting in Chicago.

I just got my bachelors in Visual Art from Brown University, now doing freelance work and building up my portfolio, -slash- trying to figure this whole "make-money-as-an-artist" thing.

I currently have a limited amount of time for poster design, photography, and video work: Contact Me
